The flight crosses the International Date Line, so you land in Seoul a calendar day after you leave. The trip home usually takes less time, with the winds behind you.

Anchorage
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC): 4 miles southwest of downtown, with a 12,400-ft runway and US Customs on site. It’s staffed around the clock. Atlantic Aviation, Signature Aviation and Great Circle Flight Services handle private jets. It’s the only practical choice for this flight.
Seoul
- Gimpo International Airport (GMP): About 10 miles west of Seoul City Hall, with an 11,811-ft runway and the Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center, which has customs, immigration and quarantine on site. International business jets can land only from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and aircraft with a maximum payload of 6,000 lb or more, including some larger jets, aren’t allowed. Best for Gangseo, Yeouido and central Seoul.
- Incheon International Airport (ICN): Korea’s main international airport, about 30 miles west of Seoul City Hall, with a 13,123-ft runway. It’s open 24 hours, including customs and immigration. Every flight needs a slot. Use it for late arrivals and for jets that can’t land at Gimpo. Best for Songdo and the western suburbs.
Private Jets for Charter Flights between Anchorage & Seoul
Super Midsize Jets
A super midsize jet is the lowest-cost option, but it stops once for fuel on the way. Many models have a cabin tall enough to stand in. Most can use Gimpo, close to central Seoul.
Heavy Jets
Heavy jets are the smallest category that can fly this route nonstop. They have a galley and separate seating areas, so a team can work in one part of the cabin and rest in another. Check the model against Gimpo’s payload limit, or plan on Incheon.
Ultra Long Range Jets
Ultra long range jets land about 1 hour 20 minutes to 2 hours before a heavy jet. Many models have seats that recline flat and a full galley, so you can sleep for part of the flight. Several of the largest models are over Gimpo’s payload limit and fly into Incheon instead.
